Standard Financial Statement:
Help and Guidance

If you are not in a position to pay your arrears, you need to give us a full description of your finances and the only way to do that is to fill out a Standard Financial Statement (SFS). This is a requirement under the Mortgage Arrears Resolution Process (MARP).

The SFS is quite detailed and can take a while to complete. We’ve made some videos (click here to view) to explain how to do your online SFS. It will give a clear picture of your finances and allows us to see what can be done to help you with your arrears. You’ll also need to submit supporting documents with your SFS, such as bank statements or wage slips in order to commence the assessment of your SFS.

To help you fill out your SFS we created a helpful user guide (click here to view) which contains lots of information and tips. If you get stuck when you’re filling out your online SFS, there are lots of tips along the way. You can save your work and come back to it later if you need to check something.
